All our drivers go through extensive credentialing....
Before any driver can become certified to drive for Show-Me Medical Transportation they must complete the credentialing process. These are required by various agencies including the State of Missouri.
BACKGROUND CHECKS
Drivers are checked prior to service and annually through the FBI, Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Sex Offender Registry.
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & SENIOR SERVICES
Drivers are checked prior to service and annually through Family Care Safety Registry
DRIVERS LICENSE
Drivers must have or obtain prior to service a Class E Chauffeur's license from the State of Missouri.
DRUG SCREEN
All drivers must pass a drug screen prior to service, as well as being completed randomly upon suspicion or at minimum, annually.
TRAINING
All drivers must successfully complete prior to service and annually Basic First Aid and CPR training, Defensive Driving training, Passenger Service and Safety (PASS) training, and HIPAA training. Additional trainings are completed when required and are subject to change.
CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS
Drivers must have good communication skills, be physically able to get in and out of a vehicle and offer assistance to passengers when needed. They must have a friendly personality for dealing with the public.
