What type of transportation do you provide?

Show-Me Medical Transportation mainly services the non-emergency medical transportation industry through the Missouri Medicaid (MoHealthnet) transportation program.  Please visit "Our Services" page to learn more about what we do.

Who pays for the trip?

We work with various funding agencies, including the Missouri Medicaid (MoHealthnet) program and other managed health care plans that cover NEMT services.

We also work with individual clinics and agencies that offer transportation for various circumstances.  If no funding sources are available for your situation, private pay trips can be paid for by credit card over the phone in advance of the trip.

How do I know your drivers are qualified, safe or nice?

Each driver is carefully selected and trained to provide the quality of care that we offer.  Management works closely with our drivers to ensure that a high level of service is maintained.  Driver credentials are reviewed/renewed annualy.  Please visit our "Drivers/Credentials" page for more information.

How do I set up a trip?
If you know that your health care plan covers transportation, call the number on the back of your card to set up the trip.  After you have set the trip up with your health care plan call our office to let us know your trip date, time and location.

If you are unsure who to call or do not have a health care plan, call our office and we will work with you to figure out the best option for you.
Do you transport people in wheelchairs?

We now have two wheelchair vans available!

Can someone go with me on my trip?

If your health care plan (or other funding source) approves an "escort" or passenger to go with you then yes.  If an escort is not approved prior to the trip we will not transport the escort.

Can the driver take me to anywhere besides my approved trip?

No. The driver is authorized to transport you from your approved pickup address to your approved drop-off address and back.  The only exception is for approved restroom stops. Our driver cannot make additional stops to restaurants, shopping facilities, gas stations, banks, bus stops or anywhere else unless approved.

Can I smoke in the vehicle?

No. All our vehicles are non-smoking vehicles. Electronic cigarettes are allowed at the discretion of the driver.  A driver can stop for a "smoke break" on a long distance trip only if time allows and that is at the driver's discretion.

Can I eat in the vehicle?

There is no eating or drinking in the vehicle unless it's of medical necessity or otherwise approved by the driver.
